School shifting opposed in Mysuru

Mysuru: Devraja Police on Friday took Congress leader M.K. Somshekar and few others into custody for protesting against the relocation of NTMS school – Mysuru’s first Kannada school, on Friday.

Followed by the court orders, the gate of NTMS School on Narayanshastry Road was sealed on Thursday night. And the furniture was relocated to Maharani’s teachers training institute building on Narayanashastry road (which is close to NTMS school) on Thursday night. Congress leaders and few others from “NTMS shaale ulisi hotaata samithi” organised a protest in front of NTMS school on Friday. They were taken into police custody and released later.
