Mysuru MLA Ramdas plans theme-based parks in KR constituency

Mysuru: Based on the concept evolved during Modi Yuga Utsav, the Krishna Raja constituency in Mysuru is being developed as no-borewell segment with theme-based parks at an estimated cost of Rs 24 crore.

The KR constituency MLA, S.A.Ramdas told News Trail that a proposal has been submitted to the government. It is proposed to build a different type of building in each park, toilets, yoga mantap, well-laid footpath, drinking water facility, CCTVs, police outpost, gym equipment for men and women and speakers attached to each electricity pole to play soft music. With a view to making a borewell-free constituency, the same will be provided in parks.

Facilities for indoor games, digital library, television and other facilities will be provided. Students would be brought to the parks and asked to write an essay on their observations. Best essays would be awarded prizes. The themes are: Saint Kanakadasa, Saint Purandaradasa, Dr.B.R.Ambedkar, Women’s Park. Akashavani, Children’s Park, Science Park, Yoga Park, Sports Park, Modi Development Park, Harmony Park & Senior Citizens Day Care Park.
