CAR TOPPLES, 3 DIE

BENGALURU: In a freak accident, three people were reportedly killed when a car hit a divider and then toppled on to the other side and fell on another car coming from the opposite direction on the International Airport Road in Chikkajala traffic police station limits on Thursday evening. The accident happened on the flyover at Betta Halasuru cross. Police said the driver of the car heading towards the airport failed to see the median due to poor visibility caused by heavy rains and rammed into it. Those who died were reportedly in the second car. Two people in the first car sustained critical injuries and were shifted to a nearby hospital. The police were initially unable to extricate the bodies from the second car, as it got completely crushed under the impact. The car was towed away to clear the traffic pile-up.
