Web series ‘director’ held for stalking in Bengaluru

Bengaluru: Parappana Agrahara police have arrested a person, claiming to be a fi lm director, for harassing an 18-year-old girl. The accused claimed he was on the lookout for a new talent to act in his web series. He offered the role to the victim and after she refused, he began stalking her. Upset over his behaviour, the victim approached the police.

The accused has been identifi ed as Manish Reddy, a resident of Kudlu Gate. He had reportedly followed her in a car near the Kudlu Gate, to persuade her to act in his web series.“We suspect that he is a fake fi lm director and trying to con women. During questioning, we found that he has not directed any web series so far,” said a police officer. .
