Halasuru Gate police on Sunday arrested Advocate Jagadish K.N. Mahadev in connection with the group clash of law practitioners that took place inside the city civil court premises on Friday afternoon.
Soon after the incident, Jagadish had stated in a complaint that his 16-yearold son, Aryan, was severely injured after a group of 20 people attacked him on the court premises. The teenger was shifted to Victoria hospital for treatment.
Some in the group alleged that Jagadish’s behaviour and his derogatory remarks made by him against the individual and officers provoked the attack.
The police officials had registered an FIR against some people in the group and were waiting for the medical reports of Aryan. “We are going to take the boy’s statement once he is discharged as well as some others who were present,” an officer said.
However on Sunday, Jagadish was arrested and produced before the judge in the evening, who remanded him to 14 days judicial custody.
