Bengaluru: Vijaya Cricket Club emerged the champions of Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) Group-I I,II & III Division U-19 Inter-Club Tournament held at Alur (Silver Oval) Stadium here on Thursday.

Winning the toss, Jawahar Sports Club (Jawahar SC) invited Vijaya Cricket Club (Vijaya CC) to bat first.

Vijaya CC posted a below-par 198 in 46.4 overs losing all their wickets. Dhruv P top-scored for Vijaya CC with 57 in 90 balls. Thippa Reddy looked good for his cameo of 39 in 33 deliveries. Niranjan N was impressive for Jawahar picking up 4 wickets for 34 runs in his 9 overs.

Jawahar SC never got going in their chase. Only 4 players ended up scoring in double digits that too not exceeding 18 (28) from Niranjan. Arjun Nair (21-3) and Vishal Kumar (29-3) picked wickets at regular intervals and did not let the Jawahar batters settle down.
