Ranji Trophy: Railways fight back but K’taka still on top on day 2

Railways put up a fighting show to end day 2 with 213/3 on the board. In reply to Karnataka’s huge total of 481,
Railways openers put on a century partnership before Mrunal Devdhar 56 (78b) edged one to the keeper off K Gowtham. His partner Vivek Singh 59 (174b) too followed his partner in the same fashion shortly after Devdhar’s departure. Arindam Ghosh 78 (108b) and Mohammad Saif 8 (23b) are in the middle battling it out for Railways, building a match-winning-like 80- run partnership. K Gowtham was the only bowler who took all the wickets for Namma Team.
Earlier in the day, resuming on 392/5 Karnataka bundled out for 481. Siddharth 146 (250b) added 6 runs to his overnight score before being dismissed by Yuvraj Singh. K Gowtham once again showed what he could do with the bat in hand scoring a blistering 32-ball 52 which included 4 fours and 4 sixes. Yuvraj Singh (93/5) was a standout bowler for Railways as he picked five wickets.
