Siddu on 2-day visit to Delhi today

Close on the heels of the hijab-saffron shawl row and the violence in Shivamogga, Leader of the Opposition Siddaramaiah will be leaving for Delhi on a two- day visit to meet AICC leaders.
According to information available, he is leaving Bengaluru at 9:30 am on Thursday and reaching Delhi around 12 noon. He is expected to meet AICC leaders including Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi besides Randeep Singh Surjewala to apprise them about the sixday stir held inside both the Legislative Assembly and Council demanding the resignation of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Minister K S. Eshwarappa for allegedly insulting the national flag.
The situation in Karnataka in the wake of the hijabsaffron shawl controversy and the stand of the Congress party would be explained to Delhi leaders. They would also be briefed about the Mekedaatu padayatra which will commence from February 27. Siddaramaiah will return to Bengaluru on Friday.
