Two burglars held, 5 cases solved in Mysuru

MYSURU: Mysuru city police have arrested two burglars, one of them from Bengaluru, and seized Rs 15.5 lakh worth gold and silver articles from them. With these arrests they have solved five burglary cases in the city.

In the first case, a special team of CCB of Mysuru city police have arrested a man at Shivajinagar of Bengaluru for thefts at three houses in Mysuru – at Lakshmipuram, Metagalli and Jayalakshmipuram police station limits.

They have seized 2kg of silver and the accused had reportedly sold 156 gram gold to a private gold shop. In the second case, a burglar was arrested near Hunsur bus stand and the police have seized 131 grams of gold and 92 grams of silver, worth around Rs 6.5 lakh. During interrogation, he confessed to having burgled a house in Vijaynagar and another in Vidyanyapuram.
