A namaskara keeps this jumbo at bay!

When a wild tusker suddenly appears a few feet away taking you by surprise, the best thing people say, is run as fast as you can or hide somewhere. So when a tusker suddenly emerged from the forest near Kaarepallya on the Chamarajanagar border where a night traffic ban is in place, all that the truck drivers carrying loads of sugarcane could do was watch in shock and pray that it would go off on its own.

Then a driver did the unthinkable. He went near the tusker and prostrated before the mighty jumbo. The pachyderm was taken by surprise and so were his fellow drivers who shouted at him to back off. But it was the jumbo, who taken by surprise on seeing the man offering a big ‘namaskara’ to him, quietly disappeared into the forests!
