Man held for unnatural sex

The city police have arrested a 22-year-old man for allegedly perpetrating unnatural sex upon cows in Vidyaranyapura area. The incident had happened on February 19. Neighbours who saw the act brought it to the notice of the owner of the cows.

The owner kept a watch, and when the accused came late at night, he was caught and handed over to the police. The accused hails from Davanagere. The cows’ owner Muni Hanumanthappa (52), a resident of Singapura Layout in Vidyaranyapura, has accused the suspect of having done the act late Saturday night.

The complaint was filed on Monday morning. “The complainant owns five cows and six calves. He has put up a temporary shed on a vacant plot, opposite his house where the animals are kept. After being alerted by neighbours, he kept a watch and found the accused coming to the shed on Sunday night at around 10.30 pm.

The accused after entering the shed was seen undressing himself. The accused was then seen pulling chairs and buckets trying to trouble the cow. After being caught red handed, the accused was handed over to the police,” said an officer on part of investigations.

The complainant was able to identify the accused as he was residing nearby. The accused has been identified as Venkatesh Kumar, 22, a resident of Singapura Layout. He was working at a book shop on Avenue Road.
