Desi game contest held in Mysuru
MYSURU: It was time to introduce traditional desi games to the young generation, who are lost in mobile phone and computer games, and for elders it was time to relive their memories at the desi game contest hosted by K.R. Mohan Kumar foundation ahead of Shivarathri festival in Mysuru on Sunday.
KRM foundation Head N M Naveen Kumar told News Trail that over 100 children and 50 adults participated in the contests. They played snakes a n d l a d d e r s, pagade, chess, aluguli mane, kunte bille, kere dada and other desi games at Akkana Balaga school premises in Agrahara in Mysuru. He added that, unlike mobile and computer games which strain the eyes of kids, these desi games enhance the concentration of kids, and social bonding.
