NT Correspondent
Former chief minister B.S. Yediyurappa handed over a cheque for Rs 25 lakh to the family of Harsha, a Bajrang Dal activist who was killed by some miscreants in Shivamogga recently.
Accompanied by RDPR Minister K.S. Eshwarappa, he visited Harsha’s house, met his parents and handed over the cheque.
Yediyurappa said Harsha was a committed Bajrang Dal activist and helped in the growth of the organization in Shivamogga. Unable to digest his steady growth, some miscreants killed him. The police have arrested a dozen persons in this connection and the interrogation is on.
Yediyurappa admitted that no amount of money given to Harsha’s family would be able to bring him back and added that this was a token of help for the family members. People of Shivamogga would remember Harsha forever, he added.
