Siddu, HDK spat in Assembly over resort row

The State Legislative Assembly witnessed a spat between Leader of the Opposition Siddaramaiah and JD(S) Legislature Party Leader H.D. Kumaraswamy over the action taken against a resort in Magadi taluk of Ramanagar district during Congress rule.

Participating in a debate on the state budget 2022-23 here on Thursday, the JD(S) leader spoke in detail about how the Congress government led by Siddaramaiah between 2013 and 2018 allegedly harassed the resort owner alleging encroachment of gomala land and kharab land. The Congress government sat on the files for many years just to harass the owner, he claimed.

When Kumaraswamy mounted the attack on the Congress, Siddaramaiah questioned the JD(S) leader for defending the resort owner and wasting time on discussing a subject not related to the budget.

If he was so concerned about the resort owner, he should have settled the issue when he was CM.
