ACB raids 18 officials, seizes gold, silver, cash

Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) sleuths conducted raids on residences and offices of 18 officials across Karnataka on Wednesday. It was allegedly found that the officials possessed assets disproportionate to their known income.

According to a report from the ACB officials, the search was carried out by 400 officials at 75 locations across Karnataka, including Bengaluru, Mysuru, Belagavi, Davangere, Vijayapura and Haveri.

Details of the officials whose residences and offices were raided: Bengaluru: Gnanendra Kumar, Additional Commissioner, Road Transport and Safety; Rakesh Kumar, Town Planning, BDA; B K Shivakumar, Additional Director, Industries and Commerce; Srinivas, General Manager, Social welfare Department. Yadgir: Ramesh Kankatte, Range Forest Officer (RFO), Social Forestry Wing. Belagavi: Basavaraj Shekar Reddy Patil, Executive Engineer (EE), Kaujalagi Division, Gokak. Gadag: Basavakumar S Annigeri, Shirastedar, DC office. Vijayapura: Gopinath, Project Manager, Nirmiti Kendra. Bagalkote: Shivanand, Range Forest Officer, Badami. Mysuru: Balakrishna H N, Police Inspector, Vijayanagara Police Station. Chamarajanagar: Chaluvaraj, Excise Inspector, Gundlupet Taluk. Ramanagar: Manjunath, Assistant commissioner. Mangaluru: Daya Sunder Raju, AEE, KPTCL. Chikkamagaluru: Gavirangappa, Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE), PWD. Koppal: Girish, Assistant Engineer, National Highway Subdivision. Raichur: Ashok Reddy Patil, AEE, Krishna Bhagya Jala Nigam Limited. Davangere: Maheshwarappa, District Environmental Officer. Haveri: Krishna Keshappa, Assistant Engineer (AE), APMC.
