Person arrested over killing of guard for Rs 500

The police arrested one person on charges of killing a 64-year-old security guard, for Rs 500. Police identified the accused as Prashanth, who works as a private bus cleaner.

The incident allegedly took place on the night of March 15 when Krishnappa was asleep near the Peenya 2nd Stage Bus Stop.

Preliminary investigation has revealed that around 1.30 am the accused approached the sleeping security guard and crushed his head with a concrete building block and robbed him.
