AAP hopes for Punjab type ‘revolution’ in Karnataka

Aam Aadmi Party’s Karnataka President Prithvi Reddy on Wednesday launched a statewide membership drive here. The campaign began with a doctor, lawyer, journalist and an auto driver joining the party.
Addressing media persons, Pruthvi Reddy said that they have been conducting the membership drive for many years now. “We have been logging names of people joining the AAP in notebooks all these years. We are now transferring this online through an application we just launched. We will carry out this exercise throughout Karnataka, where we plan to conduct meetings and public gatherings, besides personally interacting with people,” he said.
He described the AAP’s victory in Punjab as a political revolution. “Causing such a revolution in Karnataka is possible only through its people. We hope to take our membership number here to 50 lakhs by the end of April,” he added.
