Governor to visit Naveen’s house today

Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot will visit the house of Naveen Shekarappa Gyangoudar, a medical student from Haveri who died in shelling in Ukraine three weeks ago, at Chalageri village in Ranebennur taluk of Haveri district on Thursday.

According to information available, the governor will meet the family members of Naveen and console them. The government has already given a compensation of Rs 25 lakh to Naveen’s family which was handed over by Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai last week. The district administration has made elaborate arrangements for the governor’s visit.
