Infuriated at being terminated, a sacked employee along with his friends attempted to murder the Human Resource Manager (HR) of a private firm in Bengaluru. Bagalur police officials have arrested three people in this connection.
Police have identified the prime accused as Madhu, 30, a resident of Chikkaballapura district. The other two accused including Pramod Alexander and Imran Pasha have also been arrested, police said. However, the fourth accused is absconding and a probe has been launched to nab him, they added.
The arrests were made based on a complaint filed against the accused.
The prime accused had been working for one of the branches of the privat e f i r m l o c at e d i n Whitefield. But following irregularities, he was recently fired from his work, sources said.
During the interrogation, it was revealed that the accused alle gedly held a grudge against the manager and blamed him for his job loss.
The complaint stated that on March 8, while the victim was retur ning from the office in a car with his driver around 8 pm, another car blocked his way near Bagalur police station limits. “The four accused got down from their car carrying machetes and other sharp weapons,” the complaint said.
Sources said that the accused broke the window pane of the victim’s car in order to drag him out.
However, the driver started the car and drove off evading the attack. “The victim then reached the nearest police station and reported the incident,” sources said.
While the police investigations were on, the three accused again assembled outside the victim’s house to kill him, but were arrested by the police this time.
Based on the information received from the three accused, police are on a lookout for the fourth accused in the case.
