Bengaluru, Nov. 2
Panic gripped RR Nagar area on Tuesday after a plastic bag with human remains was found in a rajakaluve in DSouza Nagar. The bag was first noticed by a rag picker, who alerted the nearby residents and they informed the jurisdictional police.
After killing the victim, the unidentified assailants had tied his hands and legs. Police suspect that the person was choked to death as a duct tape was wrapped around his nose and mouth and the victim was probably alive when his limbs were being tied up.
They also suspect that the victim was murdered somewhere else and the body was later dumped into the rajakaluve. The identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained. “An illicit affair or property row may have led to this barbaric murder,” said a police officer.
The RR Nagar police have summoned the dog squad and officials from the Forensic Science Laboratory for further investigations. The dress worn by the victim was also sent for examination to find out if there is any label of a tailor or the place from where it was purchased.
The RR Nagar police have registered a case and begun investigations.
