
‘Captain Cool’ Tanvie to lead Karnataka

Karnataka has announced the squad for 26th Hero Senior Women’s National Football Championship 2021-22 which will be held in Calicut and Kerala, starting from 28th Nov to 9th Dec 2021. Tanvie Hans, who gave up her UK passport to play for India and only British player in Indian Women’s Football, plays for multiple clubs across the country and most recently turned out for Parikrma FC in the Karnataka Women’s Super Division League. She had captained a team full of men at The Amateur League held at Bengaluru in 2018. Karnataka is in Group ‘D’ along with Jharkhand, Goa and Delhi. Namma girls will play its first match on 29th Nov against Jharkhand; the second match on 1st Dec against Delhi; and the third match on 3rd Dec against Goa.
