
Broken drain grate replaced in a day

In a swift action, Bengaluru Smart City Limited (BSCL) engineers have replaced the broken drain grate on Dr B R Ambedkar Veedhi on Thursday morning to prevent accidents, especially those involving two-wheeler riders.
A broken drain grate became a hurdle for the smooth movement of vehicular traffic on Dr B.R. Ambedkar Road on Wednesday. Many motorists expressed shock and dismay over the poor quality of material used. They emphasized the need of focusing on quality of materials used for asphalting and construction of drains.
The News Trail published a story on Thursday narrating the difficulties of motorists, especially two-wheeler riders due to the broken drain grater on this road. It may be recalled, BSCL assistant executive engineer Kodanda Reddy assured the News Trail to fix the problem as soon as possible.
A few motorists have appreciated the BSCL engineer for replacing the broken drain grate within a day.
