Bengaluru/Vijayanagar: The two-day State BJP Executive Committee Meeting began at Hospete in the newlycarved out Vijayanagar district on Saturday. The meeting is being attended by National General Secretary and Karnataka affairs incharge Arun Singh, Chief Minister Basavaraja Bommai, State BJP President Nalinkumar Kateel, former chief ministers, BS Yediyurappa, Jagadish Shettar and DV Sadananda Gowda, all ministers and members of the committee.
On Sunday, BJP National President JP Nadda will deliver the keynote address and discuss the muchawaited Cabinet rejig.
Making the opening remarks at the meeting, the CM once again chanted the mantra of unity and called upon everyone to write the foreword to the victory of BJP in the 2023 Assembly polls and to retain power in the State.”Let us all work together and undertake Vijaya Yatra. The victory will be of the poor people of Karnataka. Nava Bharat will emerge from Nava Karnataka. Let us all resolve to strengthen the hands of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP National President Nadda to make India a five billion dollar economy and let one billion dollars be contributed by Karnataka. We must not be distracted by tactics of the opposition parties. Let us march towards achieving the target. Let us hoist the victory flag”, he said.
Bommai predicted the doom of the Congress party in 2023 in Karnataka. With what face the Congress leaders would go before the people? Scams of the Congress government are still fresh as they have done scams in all departments. They talk about the Social Welfare Department and there too they have done irregularities in the purchase of beds and mattresses. They dropped the steel bridge project in Bengaluru when their corrupt deeds were exposed. They need to expose misdeeds of these “Satya Harishchandras” and put all documents before people.
“We must face them boldly and tell people the many scandals the Congress government was involved in. There are plenty of skeletons of corruption in the cupboard of the Congress party, which will roll out soon,” he said.
“As CM, I will go before the people next year with the agenda of development. Welfare schemes launched by our government will also be taken before the people to seek their support. The vision of our party, achievements of the State and Union governments, commitment and ideology of the BJP will be presented before the electorate to beg for their votes,” he added.
