Re-exam for PSI aspirants after CID report: CM
By NT Correspondent
Bengaluru: The state government will take a decision on holding a re-examination for the posts of Police Sub-Inspector following complaints of gross irregularities after the receipt of the CID report.
Talking to reporters at Jindal Airstrip before leaving for Bengaluru on Monday, CM Bommai said the government wanted to know at what level the alleged irregularities had happened and the extent of the scam. That would be known only after CID sleuths submit their findings to the government. Based on it, the government will decide whether to hold a reexamination only for the particular examination centre or for the entire state.
Bommai said as soon as irregularities in the PSI selection came to light, Home Minister Araga Jnanendra referred the case to the CID for a thorough and impartial inquiry.
