KRSP plans yatra to highlight corruption in the state

Bengaluru: Karnataka Rashtra Samithi Party (KRSP) on Tuesday announced its plan to start Karnataka Janachaitanya Yatra across 23 cities from April 24 to create awareness among people about corruption by mainstream political parties such as BJP, Janata Dal (S) and Congress.

The rally would start at the Freedom Park in Bengaluru and reach Kolar, Ramnagar, Maddur, Mysuru, Chamarajnagar, Srirangapatna, Hassan and other cities in 28 days. It will conclude on May 21 in Tumakuru.

KRSP Vice President Lingegowda S.H. told mediapersons that politics in Karnataka has reached its nadir. “To provide salary to health workers and contract labourers they don’t have money, but are taking 40 per cent commission. For a country and state to develop we need honest politics and people’s support,” Lingegowda said.

Raghu Janagere, State Secretary, said that KRSP has always worked for the people since it started two years ago. “This Janachaitanya Yatra is aimed at spreading awareness among the people on honest politics. We have seen all parties, now it’s time for an honest party and honest politics. People are showing their interest towards KRSP and we have more than 12,000 soldiers in our team,” he said.
