Two die, 3 hurt as tree falls on moving car near Ramanagar

Ramanagaram: In a tragic incident, two persons died on the spot and three others sustained injuries when a big tree fell on a moving car near Kumbapura gate in Ramanagar on Monday.

The deceased are Sundresh (49) and Tanmai (9), Three others of the same family, Sheela, Gaanavi and Sanvi sustained injuries and were admitted to a hospital. They had gone to Agasanapura in Malavalli taluk of Mandya in connection with a festival and were on their way to Bengaluru. As the Omni approached Kumbapura Gate, the tree fell on the vehicle. Traffic on Bengaluru-Mysuru Highway was held up for some time.
