Student dies in bike accident

Bengaluru: An MCA final student was killed in an accident when he allegedly lost control of his bike near Kengeri traffic police station limits on Monday.

The incident took place around 7:30 pm when a 23-year-old Mysuru resident, Ram Prasad, was riding on the NICE Road towards Mysuru. The jurisdictional traffic police rushed to the spot and shifted the deceased to the hospital.

Police said that Ram Prasad was a student of a private college at Hebbal in the city. “The accident occurred as the youth lost balance of his bike,” police said.

It was revealed that as he reached near the exit toll gate towards Mysuru Road, Prasad allegedly was overspeeding and lost control of his bike which rammed into a roadside tree.

Prasad was severely injured and couldn’t survive the impact. After medical examination, the body was handed over to his family. A case has been registered at Kengeri traffic police station regarding the incident.
