Can’t beat the heat! Kalaburagi sizzles at 42.4 degree; Chikkamagaluru cool at 31.6

Bengaluru: Several districts in North Karnataka region are sizzling with the day temperature crossing the 40 degree Celsius mark. Kalaburagi has recorded a maximum temperature of 42.4 degree Celsius and the coolest district is Chikkamagaluru at 31.6 degree Celsius.

According to statistics available, the temperature was 42.3 degree Celsius in Kalaburagi, 40 degree in Bidar, 39.2 in Vijayapura, 37.2 in Gadag, 34.6 degree Celsius in Haveri, 40 degree in Koppal and 41 degree Celsius in Raichur.

In Coastal Karnataka, Shirali has recorded 38.2 degree, followed by Karwar with 36.4 and Panambur with 36 degree Celsius. In south interior Karnataka, Bengaluru City recorded 34.7 degree Celsius, Davangere 36 degree, Chitradurga 36.2 degree and Mandya 35.6 degree. Meanwhile, Mysuru and surrounding areas received showers on Friday evening much to the relief of citizens who were complaining of the hot weather. The weatherman has forecast rains in South Interior Karnataka in the next two to three days.
