Fitness expert arrested on molestation charges

Bengaluru: An international bodybuilder and fitness expert has been arrested by Kadugondanahalli police on charges of molesting a Maharashtrabased woman, who sought his help while preparing for a fitness competition.

The accused has been identified as Syed Siddiqui, a gym instructor in HBR Layout. He had participated in various international body building competitions and had also won several titles, police said.

The victim and the accused knew each other through social media. The victim landed in the city from Mumbai on February 15.

As she started training under him, the accused forced himself upon her by injecting her with steroids and when she resisted, he promised to marry her, the victim said in a statement. After the accused tried to avoid her, the victim filed a complaintagainst him.
