Major IAS reshuffle: Tushar gets Gupta’s post in BBMP

Bengaluru: In a major move to tone up the state administration, the government on Thursday transferred several senior IAS officers including BBMP Chief Commisioner Gaurav Gupta, Tushar Girinath and T.A.Anil Kumar with immediate effect. Gupta had faced several allegations with BJP leader, N.R.Ramesh submitting a memorandum to the CM on his alleged ‘omissions’. Other BJP leaders too had complained to Basavaraj Bommai against him and had demanded his transfer from BBMP.

He has been transferred to the Infrastructure Development Department as Additional Chief Secretary. In his place, Tushar Girinath who was with the Infrastructure Development Department has been brought to BBMP as chief commissioner.

Mr T.A. Anil Kumar is placed in concurrent charges as Principal Secretary to Government, Revenue Department, Bengaluru; V Ponnuraj is transferred as Secretary, DPAR (e-governance) and will hold concurrent charge of MD, Karnataka Power Corporation Limited; Manoj Jain is transferred as Secretary, Labour Department; Khushboo B. Chowdhary is transferred as Deputy Resident Commissioner, Karnataka Bhavan, New Delhi; Dr K. Rajendra, DC, Bagalkote is transferred as Secretary, KPSC; M.G.Hiremath, DC, Belagavi as MD, KRIDC.
