Sheshadri Road white topping to take 2 months

Bengaluru: Motorists have to cope with traffic jams on Sheshadri Road for two more months as the ongoing white topping work is expected to be completed only after 45 days.
The 1.2 KM from KR circle to Maurya Circle road is partially closed for motorists from the past few months who commute through the Mysore Bank Circle towards Freedom Park.
Motorists who commute from Maurya circle towards KR Circle have one way to commute in both the directions. However, daily commuters know the route and manage to find an alternate route, while commuters who pass by once in a while find it difficult.
In a recent inspection conducted by Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) commissioner Gaurav Gupta, he had instructed the Chief Engineer to complete the white topping work by next 60 days.
Chief Engineer Lokesh told News Trail that it would take a minimum of 45 days to complete the project. “The work is already half done. We know that there will be issues for the public for a few more days but once the work is completed people can commute as usual.
Already the white topping work is completed at one side of the road opposite Freedom Park and we are working on the other side of the road from Maurya Circle to Freedom Park Signal. We hope to complete the work within the estimated time,” he said.
