Kolar District Congress chief joins BJP
NT Correspondent
Bengaluru: Three days after CLP Leader Siddaramaiah’s visit, Kolar District Congress Committee (KDCC), K.Chandrareddy has quit the Congress and joined BJP on Saturday.
This has come as a big shock with the District Congress president joining the saffron party just two weeks away from polls to the Legislative Council. Chief Minister Basavaraja Bommai and Health & Medical Education Minister Dr.K.Sudhakar were present to invite Chandrareddy into the party fold. The CM asked him to work for the growth of BJP in Kolar. It may be mentioned here that last week, Chandrareddy and former MP, K.H.Muniyappa stayed away from Siddaramaiah’s visit to Kolar district to assess the crop damage, their differences with Srinivasapura MLA K.R.Ramesh Kumar taking precedence over the need to show a united front..
