Boy run over by speeding car

Bengaluru: A fouryear-old boy was killed in an accident while trying to cross a road near Bengaluru’s Electronic City traffic police limits on Saturday. According to the police, the incident occured when Abhilash, who along with his father was trying to cross the Somasundarapalya Main Road in the evening.

The boy’s father, Hanumanthappa, is a daily wage worker. Sources said Abhilash was hit by a speeding car and fell unconscious after losing a lot of blood while his father escaped unhurt. People who witnessed the incident helped Hanumanthappa shift his injured son to a hospital.

However, Abhilash died without responding to the treatment. A case has been registered by the police regarding the incident and further investigation is being carried.
