Bengaluru: Ramanagara Town police arrested four accused involved in an alleged murder of a 21-year-old woman from Bengaluru.

The incident came to light when the patrolling jurisdictional police witnessed an accident near the office of Deputy Commissioner of Police in Ramanagara.

According to the police, two men and a woman were shifted to a hospital after they fell on the road near a speed breaker around 2am on Tuesday. But the real shock came to the police after they found that the woman had died eight hours before the accident.

The injured bikers, Vinod, 19, and Nagaraj, 18, were taken into custody for questioning after following which the evil plan came to light.

The deceased hailed f r o m R a j a r a j e s h w a r i Nagar in the city. It was alleged that Roopa had borrowed money from her neighbours, Raghu, 30, and Durga, 28.

There was an altercation between the couple and Roopa over the money which escalated into violence. Raghu allegedly slapped Roopa after which she died. Then the couple sought help from their friends, Vinod and Nagaraj, to take the body near an isolated place on the outskirts of Channapatna and burn it.

It was decided that Nagaraj and Vinod would carry Roopa’s body on their bike and Raghu and Durga would reach the spot in Channapatna on another bike. However, Vinod lost control of his bike near a speed-breaker and the two of them fell from their bike along with the dead body.

The police then arrested Raghu and Durga based on the information procured from Vinod and Nagaraj. Police have filed a case.
