Missing man reunites with family after 32 days

Bengaluru: The reach of the media helped a young man reunite with his parents in Bengaluru after 32 days.

It all began when Madhukar, a 28 year-old man with a keen interest in spirituality, left his house on April 7, in search of otherworldliness.

The family was residing near Sandhya Gappa Layout of Nagawara. Informing his mother that he is going for a walk, Madhukar left the house in the morning without taking any valuables along with him, except for his ATM card and some cash.

The parents filed a missing complaint at Govindpura police station when they couldn’t find their son. News Trail had carried the news on April 29.

The ordeal that the parents went through for over 32 days is unexplainable. But still they buried all their pain when they saw their only son on May 9.

Speaking to News Trail, Srinivas, father of Madhukar, said that it was all due to his wife’s prayers that they found their son. “I was overwhelmed when a doctor from Delhi called me and informed me about my son,” a tearful Srinivas said.

While the parents were in grief, Madhukar was in his pursuit of seeking God.

Madhukar first took a bus to Hindupur and with little money he had, he travelled to Delhi. He said he soon ran out of money and had to stay without food for four days there. When his health started to decline, a pharmacist noticed him and took him to a clinic. Seeing his condition, a doctor provided Madhukar a job at his clinic. After a few days, the doctor was surprised to see Madhukar’s photo appearing all over the news.

“I at once booked a ticket and flew to Delhi and met the doctor at around 2pm on Monday,” Srinivas said. He said he thanked the doctor profusely for his generosity. “Before 10am the next morning, I brought my son home,” he added.

The 28 year old aspirant must have realised that the true feeling of nearness to god is seeing the parents smile on him.
