Nandu FC edge out Life Bangalore in penalty shootout

Bengaluru: Nandu Memorial FC knocked out Cap Life Bangalore in a penalty shootout 4-3 in the quarterfinal clash of KSFA South Zone here on Wednesday.

The teams were level 1-1 after extra time in a pulsating encounter in which plenty of chances were created at both ends with the finishing being astray.

In the tie-breaker, Nandu Memorial FC converted all their shots while Cap Life Bangalore missed one. Surrender, Alex Praveen, Karthigeyan and Surya S scored for Nandu Memorial FC in the shootout.

In BDFA C Division league matches, Reds United FC defeated Young Gems FC 4-1 while Rebels FC beat Income Tax FC 4-1 and Friends United FC routed Blitz FC 4-0.
