CH Pratap Reddy to replace Kamal Pant as Bengaluru Police Commissioner

Bengaluru: The Karnataka government on Monday appointed IAS officer CH Pratap Reddy as the Commissioner of Police in Bengaluru. Reddy, a 1991 batch officer, was the Additional Director of Police, Law and Order before this stint.
He replaces incumbent Kamal Pant, who will take charge of DGP Recruitment.
In addition to these transfers, the government has also transferred Alok Kumar as the Additional Director General of Police, KSRP, Bengaluru.
R Hithendra, Karnataka IPS 1996, who is the current Additional Director General of Police Crimes and Technical Services in Bengaluru, has been given concurrent charge of the post with immediate effect.
