Bengaluru police have procured CCTV footage of a stray dog being mercilessly run over by a car near Jayanagar in Bengaluru.
The incident had reportedly taken place on Friday. The footage shows the SUV ran over a dog which was sleeping on the roadside. The dog can be seen getting up immediately and trying to dodge before being hit by the vehicle.
However, according to the police, it is still unclear if the dog was run over on purpose.
Police are trying to trace the car driver and are verifying other footage of the areas to connect the dots in the case.
A milk vendor from the area who used to feed the street dog regularly has filed a case with the Jayanagar police against the unidentified car driver after the
accident.
