Taking a dig at Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Assembly Siddaramaiah for his statement on sending KPCC Spokesperson M.Lakshman for an open debate on his behalf, Mysuru-Kodagu MP Pratap Simha taunted him saying that ‘brave people come riding a horse or an elephant but not a donkey.’

Talking to reporters here on Wednesday, Simha said he had accepted an invitation for an open debate with either Siddaramaiah or former district-in-charge minister Dr.H.C.Mahadevappa who is now sitting idle. ‘’Let them decide the date, venue and time and inform me two days in advance,’’ he quipped adding that he will definitely take part.

Wondering why Siddaramaiah had decided to send his party spokesperson Lakshman for the debate, Simha questioned why even Dr Mahadevappa cannot have a debate with him. The MP added that since Siddaramaiah had decided to send Lakshman, who according to him, cannot even win a gram panchayat election. He too would not participate in person and would instead send the BJP taluk spokesperson to see who wins the verbal battle.
