63-year-old man hit by speeding bus dies

A 63-yearold person died after he sustained severe injuries in an accident near Shivashankar circle in the VV Puram police station limits here in the city.

The police identified the deceased as Ravindranath, a resident of Katriguppe. The jurisdictional traffic police conducted the inspection and said that the incident took place around 11:30 pm on Thursday when a speeding private bus hit Ravindranath’s two-wheeler.

The injured person was rushed to a local hospital. But he, unfortunately, succumbed to injuries on Friday morning, police said. The body was later shifted to KIMS Hospital.

A case was registered regarding the incident and the driver of the private bus has been detained for further investigation, police said.
