T20: Guide for spectators, public plying in CBD

In view of the T20 cricket match which is set to be played between India and South Africa at Chinnaswamy Stadium on Sunday in Bengaluru, the city traffic police has made following arrangements to ensure smooth traffic flow in and around the stadium. Vehicle parking will be banned on the following roads from 2 pm on Sunday till 12:30 am on Monday:

1. Both-side parking is banned on Queens Road between Balekundri Circle and Queens Circle.

2. Parking is banned on MG Road between Queens Circle and Cauvery Emporium junction.

3. On Link Road, MG Road to Cubbon Road.

4. Rajbhavan Road, T Chowdaiah Road, Race Course Road.

5. Both side parking is banned on Central Street between Anil Kumble Circle to Shivajinagar Bus Stand.

6. Both side parking is prohibited on Cubbon Road between CTO Circle to Kamaraj Road junction.

7. Except BMTC buses, all other vehicle parking is banned on Cubbon Road between Kamaraj Road junction to Dickenson Road junction.

8. No parking between St Marks and Anil Kumble Circle.

9. No Parking between Museum Road and Residency Road.

10. Kasturba Road between Queens Road and Hudson Circle, Inside Cubbon Park, Press Club and Balbhavan fountain junction.

11. Lavelle Road between Queens Circle and Vittal Mallya junction.

12. Vittal Mallya Road between Siddalingaiah Circle to Bishop Cotton Girls School.

Parking arrangements for spectators

1. St Joseph Indian High School ground on Mallya Hospital Road
2. St Joseph Boys High School ground on Museum Road.
3. UB City
4. Shivajinagar Bus Stand first floor.
5. KSCA members are advised to park their vehicles at Bowring Institute.

Take public transport: BTP

Bengaluru Traffic Police (BTP) request the people coming to view the cricket match, to use the BMTC and Metro Rail services to avoid traffic congestion. Also, the BTP advised people other than viewers to avoid Queens Road, MG Road, Cubbon Road and Central Street Road.

Alternative roads

1. Vehicles moving from Infantry Road towards CTO circle are advised to approach traffi c headquarters junction and move further ahead on Infantry Road only.

2. The vehicles moving from Hudson Circle to Queens Circle are advised to take a right turn at Siddalingaiah Circle and move towards Mallya Hospital Road and further.
