
Bless our double engine government for development to continue, PM appeals to Mysureans

Stating that the era of development has started since 2014, Prime Minister Narendra Modi appealed to people of Karnataka to support the ‘double engine’ government to ensure uninterrupted growth of the country.
Speaking after dedicating various services, laying the foundation for the Naganahalli Coach Complex, inaugurating the Centre of excellence of AIISH and interacting with the beneficiaries of various central government schemes in the last three years, at Maharaja College Ground, he said the BJP led NDA Government and the BJP government in Karnataka were working shoulder to shoulder in fulfilling the needs and aspirations of the common people.
The current year is very historic as it is the 75th year of India’s independence, the PM said. The BJP led NDA Government came to power in 2014 and welfare programmes were launched for the sake of all the communities.
The schemes such as ‘one nation, one ration card’, Ayushman Bharat, Kisan Sanman yojane, Direct Benefit Transfer, Mudra, Prime Minister Swanidhi, urja have transformed the lives of crores of people around the country.
The developmental works initiated now are going to benefit farmers and youths once they are completed. Modi said before 2014, Karnataka was given Rs 800 crore in the annual budget and this year, the NDA government had released Rs 7000 crore to the State.
From 2004 to 2014, the then Congress Government had electrified 16 km railway line and in the last 8 years, 1,600 km railway line had been electrified. “We are doing all these things due to your blessings. Our double engine government is ready to take development further if people bless us”. Chief Minister Basavaraja Bommai, Governor Thawarchand Gehlot, Union Minister Pralhad Joshi and others were present.
