
COMEDK to be merged with CET from next year

Bengaluru:
The entrance test conducted by the Consortium of Medical, Engineering, and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMED-K) for undergraduate engineering admissions will be merged with the Common Entrance Test (CET).
With this, CET will be conducted at the all-India level. While the rank secured in the merged CET would be considered for admission, the seat-sharing would continue to follow the existing pattern, according to Karnataka Minister for Higher Education C N Ashwath Narayan.
10% fee hike for engg colleges approved
The minister also met with the representatives of the Karnataka Unaided Private Engineering Colleges Association (KUPECA) on Wednesday and approved a 10 percent fee hike for engineering courses for the academic year 2022-23. The hike will affect students who have been allotted government seats in private engineering colleges
