Four men loot jewellery outlet in Mailasandra

In a brazen robbery caught on CCTV, four unidentified men allegedly attacked an employee of a jewellery outlet and escaped with valuables worth Rs 1.93 crore from the shop in Bengaluru early Monday. The incident took place around 7 am at Ramdev Bankers in Mailasandra near Electronic City.
It was revealed that the shop belongs to one Bhavarlal. But for several months, Lal’s relative Dharmendra had been taking care of the business.

On Monday as Dharmendra opened the shop, two men approached him posing as customers. In a few moments, two more men joined them, the police said.

In his complaint, Dharmendra stated that the four accused gagged his mouth and then tied his arms and legs before stealing valuables and cash from the locker.

Valuables including 3.5 kg gold, 30 kg silver and Rs 80,000 in cash were allegedly robbed from the jewellery store, the victim claimed in his statement to the police.

A complaint has been filed at Electronic City police station regarding the incident and a probe has been launched to ascertain the identity of the miscreants and nab them. The police are also scanning the CCTV footage
