Bengaluru:
Goods Shed Road, which was being white-topped, is finally open for traffic today. Motorists are heaving a sigh of relief since the work had been due with consistently extended deadlines.
The road acts as a connection between Chamarajpet and Mysore Road and also leads to the Majestic bus stand. The white topping work was designated for a stretch of 1.3 km at the cost of 11 crore. Due to the blockage caused by the construction, the area noticed significant traffic congestion and motorists taking long detours.
At present, the work has been concluded, and the road will be open to the public. “The flyover stretch in Mysore Road would never be congested, but since the diversion close to the Goods Shed Road was shut down, slow-moving traffic increased. It will now reach my workplace sooner by a few minutes,” said Faraz Abdul, a daily commuter
