Poignant, ironic & funny: All expected at this play

Bengaluru:
After a successful run of shows of 'Aurat! Aurat! Aurat!' which dramatised the stories of Ismat Chugati, Motley follows the trail of women-centric plays with Kambakht Bilkul Aurat this weekend at Ranga Shankara. Three heartbreaking tales by Ismat which, with tongue firmly in cheek, explore the unequal masculine- feminine equation which seemingly hasn’t altered or improved over the ages.
Amar Bel is the story of a husband, played by Manoj Pahwa, and his beautiful wife, whose health and looks decline with time, but whose beauty gets more enchanting with time. Nanhi ki Naani tells the story of a woman who has lost everything in life but keeps surviving only to be killed by something that is actually not worth taking.
And the third story, Do Haath is about a pair of hands that add up to the support system of a being and cannot be categorised as legitimate or illegitimate because it's the only support there is. The play's stars are Manoj Pahwa (in pic), Seema Pahwa, and Jaya Virlley, and it has a runtime of two hours.
