Job aspirants protested against the Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC) which has not declared the results of the examination it had conducted earlier to fill various vacancies. KPSC has conducted the examination for 3,000 posts in various departments of the state government.
However, candidates have complained that there has been a delay in publishing exam results. Aspirants of many posts including Gazetted Probationary, SDA, PWD JE, AE, Group C, ACF are upset with the conduct of the commission.
For the gazetted probationary posts, the main examination was held in the month of February in 2021. It has been over 17 months, but aspirants have still not received their results. The exam was held for SDA recruitment in October 2021, and for PWD JE and AE recruitment in December 2021.
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) completes the entire recruitment process as per schedule in one year and announces the result. The question of inefficiency is now looming over KPSC. Even when the results for certain posts are published, the notification for filling up the posts has not been issued.
Considering the plight of the aspirants, former Education Minister Suresh Kumar had protested a few days ago. Last May, when Suresh Kumar had protested, the results of the main examination for 106 posts was published by June.
The KPSC Chairman and secretary had assured that the results of the examination held for the recruitment of other posts will be published on the website, but the job aspirants do not feel reassured.
