Zameer appears before ACB for questioning

 Congress leader and MLA B.Z. Zameer Ahmed Khan on Saturday appeared before the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials for questioning in connection with the disproportionate assets.

According to sources, officers from ACB including Superintendent Yatish Chandra and Deputy Superintendent Ravi Shankar were part of the inquiry. They said that Khan was asked to present documents showing sources of his income.

 Many teams of police personnel from Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) had raided five different places belonging to Khan in the city on July 5. The raids were carried out following a report of the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on disproportionate assets, the officers had said.

The officers had seized several documents during the raids conducted at places belonging to Khan. However later he had sought time to appear before the agency for questioning. The notice issued by the agency had mandatorily directed Khan to appear for questioning on August 6.
