Truck hits goods auto, one dead

A woman died and four others were injured when a speeding truck collided with their goods carrier near Electronic City toll plaza on Monday. The deceased was identified as Pramila, 42, a native of Gauribidanur.

 The injured have been identified as Prabhavati, 38, Appasab, 35, Lalitha, 34, and Likhit, 11. The incident took place early in the morning when the passengers were travelling towards Hosur from Bengaluru.

A speeding truck allegedly crashed into the goods carrier vehicle which turned upside down due to the impact. Pramila, who suffered a severe head injury, died on the way to the hospital.

The truck driver abandoned the vehicle and fled, and efforts are on to nab the driver. Electronic City police have registered a case.
