
Fake Aadhaar card racket busted in Jigani

Bengaluru Rural Police conducted a joint operation and raided service centres where fake Aadhaar cards were being prepared by creating a fake document, and arrested four people.
Bengaluru Rural SP Mallikarjun Baldande and Internal Security Division SP Shakuntala Gowder carried out raids in several parts of Jigani, Hebbagodi and Anekal.
The police informed that the officials of the Internal Security Department got a tip off about printing of fake Aadhaar Cards and they alerted the C y b e r Crime Department.
Based on the complaint, the police arrested four people of Shree Computer General Service Centre in front of Jigani Police Station.
“These people were creating fake documents for illegal foreign migrants, especially those from Bangladesh, who live on the city outskirts.
We are constantly keeping an eye on suspected printing presses in the area and general stores that might be doing it.
There are also many cyber cafes in Anekal and Hebbagodi that are involved in forging documents for illegal citizens,” Baldande said. More than 50 policemen were involved in the raid, police said.
